The Field Operations Unit consists of a small staff located in
Tallahassee and twelve field offices dispersed throughout
the state. Headquarters' staff perform program policy direction and
oversight, coordinate with the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) and provide support for field offices. Four CDC
staff assigned to the Bureau facilitate coordination with the National
Immunization Program (NIP).
Stationed at one of twelve field offices, Field Staff assist both
the citizens of Florida and program partners in a variety of
activities to achieve state and national immunization goals. These
activities improve immunization levels, reduce vaccine-preventable
disease morbidity and mortality in Florida and protect the health of
Florida residents and visitors
