Adult and Adolescent Immunizations

Preteen Vaccine Week 2008January 20-26, 2008 is Pre-teen Vaccine Week 2008

The purpose of Pre-teen Vaccine Week is to raise awareness of the importance of immunizations for “tweens” ages 11 and 12. (more)


Vaccines for adults include:

  • Tetanus-Diphtheria Vaccine or Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis (all adults, every 10 years)
  • Influenza (Flu) Vaccine (adults 50 and older)
  • Pneumococcal Vaccine (adults 65 and older)
  • Hepatitis B Vaccine (adults at risk)
  • Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) Vaccine (susceptible adults)
  • Varicella (chickenpox) Vaccine (susceptible adults)
  • Human papillomaviruses (Recommended for 13-26 year-old girls/women who have not yet received or completed the vaccine series.)
  • Zoster (shingles) Vaccine (adults 60 and older, including those who have had a previous episode of shingles)
  • Vaccines for travelers (see CDC travel website for specifics)
